Master Classes
Company Class with AXIS Dance Company
Always wondered what a company class at AXIS looked like? Well, here is your chance! This June AXIS dancers invite YOU to their Monday Company Class. Experience AXIS technique class, discover new movement, and truly redefine dance! Join us and learn with and from this unique group of movers.
Dancers with intermediate level dance experience are welcome to join. $10—no one turned away for lack of funds.

Flashmob the AXIS way!
Looking to do something different on your Sunday afternoon? How about an outdoor dance with AXIS!
Come join us for these fun, free, feel-good workshops at Jessie Square working towards a Flasmob performance the AXIS way. These workshops created for all ages and all abilities, will allow you to explore movement within your own body and in relationship to others around you! For this AXIS Flashmob “more is more” so bring your neighbors, friends, and family! Register here.

Serious Fun with AXIS: A modern dance class for people with and without disabilities.
Join AXIS for some Serious Fun! This class open to dancers and movers with and without disabilities delves deeper in the principles of physically integrated dance. Combining techniques from modern and contemporary dance as well as (contact) improvisation you will discover new ways of movement.

inMotion!
AXIS will be featured as Guest teachers at Bay Area Dancewheels – Wheelchair Ballroom Dancesport in San Jose. We will teach a class in the basics of dance movement and the universal principals of dance. Join us and you will discover new ways of movement!

Get inMotion – Movement Summer Camp ages 13-19
Are you between 13 and 19 years old. Do you like to move and be creative? Then Get inMotion! Join AXIS & BORP for this weeklong camp for youth with and without physical disabilities. Learn more & apply.

Creative Dance Class for Teens with and without disabilities
Do you like to move? Do you like to dance and to be creative? Do you enjoy dancing with peers? Then join our exciting creative dance class for teens with and without disabilities (age 12-21). During this session we will teach modern & creative dance techniques, giving you the opportunity to discover your own dance vocabulary. Together we will explore new and exciting ways to move, build social skills and body awareness while having fun.
- When: Wednesdays 2:00-3:00pm

Creative Dance Classes for Kids!
What would childhood be without the chance to express ourselves through dance? AXIS is one of few programs offering children with disabilities the opportunity to explore their “inner dancer” in a structured environment with professional disabled dancers as role models. We will focus on positive body awareness, natural creativity, teamwork, motor co-ordination, personal expression, discipline, and self-control. Children between age 6-12 with and without disabilities are welcome to attend.

AXIS maintains a “no one turned away for lack of funds policy” for all our classes. Scholarships and work exchange are available, please contact annika@axisdance.org
In order to make our classes accessible to people with multiple chemical sensitivities / environmental illness, we must ask everyone to NOT wear any scented products to class.
