AXIS’ Engagement Programs launched in 1989 in direct response to the community’s desire to study this new artform – integrated dance. AXIS maintains an extensive engagement program , offering opportunities for all ages and abilities, and we are a primary pre-professional training ground for aspiring dancers with disabilities.

Youth Programs

Youth Assembly Program
AXIS Dance Company presents over 20 in-school assemblies throughout the Bay Area each year. These assemblies include interactive participation by students, plus candid discussion and Q&A with AXIS dancers.
AXIS also currently offers pre-recorded, virtual assemblies to schools nationwide. These assemblies provide students K-12 with the exciting experience of enjoying an AXIS performance, and emphasize collaboration among disabled and non-disabled people.
Youth Classes
AXIS Dance Company currently does not offer virtual or in-person classes designed specifically for youth. However, we are in the process of developing a youth education program. Stay tuned for more information!
