Donate now to help AXIS redefine dance and disability. We thank you for your dedication to the transformative power of dance and inclusion.
AXIS invites you to join us at the historic Ed Roberts Campus to celebrate the launch of our Access Guide to Presenting and Touring in the Performing Arts!
Aimed at venues and presenters keen on advancing their understanding of accessibility, this free online resource addresses the critical and overdue need for accessible dance spaces. The guide was created in partnership with leaders across the disability spectrum and performing arts landscape, ensuring wide-ranging and nuanced perspectives on the ways in which access benefits everyone.
AXIS Artistic Director Nadia Adame and Managing Director Danae Rees will provide an overview of the process involved in crafting the Guide, highlighting the pivotal experiences that spurred its development, and exploring its broader impact within the performing arts sector.
Event attendees will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win tickets to our 2024 Home Season and more.
Appetizers and drinks will be provided with gluten-free and vegan options available.
All funds raised from the event will be utilized to support our efforts to catalyze a transformation of the performing arts sector into a space accessible for all.
Accessibility: Ed Roberts Campus is fully wheelchair accessible, and designed with people with disabilities in mind. Event will have live projected captions and visual descriptions; ASL Interpretation booking in progress and to be confirmed.
