AXIS in Motion: Integrated Dance Class [BADW Special]

Just in time for Bay Area Dance WeekAXIS in Motion returns to Berkeley Ballet Theater from 10- 11am for an invigorating and accessible dance class from the full AXIS Team!

Thanks to support from the California Arts Council, class is FREE to the public.
Berkeley Ballet Theater is located at 1370 Tenth St, Berkeley, CA 94710

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Disabled, non-disabled and neurodiverse participants of all experience levels are invited to join AXIS for an accessibility-driven contemporary dance class. We will begin with warmups designed to draw awareness to the full body, before moving on to technique and improvisation exercises that encourage all dancers to respond to the environment and each other with embodied joy.

ACCESS:
• In the interest of COVID safety and access, masks will be required for all participants.
• Berkeley Ballet Theater is wheelchair accessible, with ADA accessible bathrooms. There is ample street parking, and a parking lot next door with several accessible parking spaces.
• ASL Interpretation provided, with ;ive auto-captions through otter.ai provided on screen.
• Although we cannot guarantee a completely scent-free space, AXIS’ goal is to make our events as fragrance-free as possible. Please do not wear fragrance or scented products when attending this event.
